Introduction to Local Investing Workshop

Local Investing workshop flierWe’ve been doing our research and now we’re ready to share!

This Thursday, October 16th at 6:00pm we’ll be talking about how local folks are using tools developed around the country to democratize capital and invest locally — and how you can too!

We’ll explore using self-directed IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts) to divest from Wall Street and into our communities, small business and peer-to-peer loans, as well as other strategies for investing locally.

ALL are welcome!  This is an introductory, open-to-the-public workshop on the ideas and possibilities of local investing.  Entrepreneurs, potential investors, and the merely curious are all welcome to attend.

The workshop is free and no RSVPs are required, but you can sign up, share with friends, and find directions by clicking here.

For those inspired by the Invest Local philosophy, we’ll be hosting a meet-and-greet of interested investors and entrepreneurs on Tuesday, October 28th, to help good projects find great supporters.  If you’d like to participate as either a prospective borrower or investor, let us know by emailing — and check back here and on facebook for more updates soon!
